UNITE HERE members in a dozen cities spent Wednesday, the second busiest travel day of the year, telling Thanksgiving travelers that 5,000 Marriott hotel workers are on strike during the holiday. They called on travelers to support us and tell Marriott they won’t eat, meet, or stay at one of their hotels during the #MarriottStrike! Stay tuned for more pictures throughout the week.

This customer is with us! She switched hotels and honored our strike.
I changed my Tday hotel plans (unfortunately not in Hawaii!) due to #MarriottStrike. If you need to rebook your hotel, consult @aFairHotel for a guide on hotels near you with good contracts. https://t.co/PKFLdwVni8

Local 2 in San Francisco remains dedicated to the picket lines in wildfire smoke and rain. It was downpouring in San Francisco Wednesday. Everyone kept their spirits high by sticking together and staying strong.
We'll march in toxic wildfire smoke.
In winter rains.
In the pitch-black night.
Whatever it takes.
For as long as it takes.
One job will be enough.#MarriottStrike #1job pic.twitter.com/Viutls0xhh

San Fransisco Supervisor Hillary Ronen has been with us strikers from Day 1. Look at her new message of support, encouraging the California School Boards Association to honor our picket lines.
As a public school parent, I am shocked the CA School Boards Assoc is holding its annual event @ Marriott during a strike in SF. It is now incumbent upon elected school board members to boycott the event. We are 1 struggle & must have each other’s backs. @UniteHereLocal2

We’re informing the world about how “Green Choice” is really a dirty choice. We workers have offered our expert knowledge to a Chinese government ministry:
China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism is currently investigating the cleanliness of @Marriott’s luxury hotel rooms in China. @unitehere … has offered to help by arranging a meeting with the real experts: Marriott housekeepers.https://t.co/bwbeIH354V

One striker in Hawaii has been growing out his beard since the strike started.
