They also had an exciting victory: Local 26 member Carmen Castillo won her re-election for City Council in Providence, Rhode Island. Carmen was the subject of a documentary, Councilwoman, which highlights her union activism as a housekeeper at the Omni Providence and her fight to win her first election.
