Local 2 strike leader Larrilou explains to the media how staying strong on strike is about teaching her kids what’s right in this powerful San Francisco media story
Larrilou Carumba, a housekeeper @Marriott, spent the day with @sfexaminer's @laura_waxee.
“I will not go back… unless they settle. It’s better for me to resign than to give up my respect… because my kids know that is what I am really fighting for.”https://t.co/0r9glkQrQ3

Local 26 shared a bit of winter with their union family in Hawaii as our strikes continue across very different weather. . .
Dear @uniteherehawaii, we are proud to be part of the same union @unitehere. We are proud to know other hotel workers are also standing up for themselves. In Boston, our water is freezing, snow is coming, but solidarity keeps us warm. #1job #marriottstrike

At the recently-settled Westin Gaslamp in San Diego, Room Attendant Maria Quiroga of the Loews Coronado Bay Resort accepted the Tony Mazzocchi Award from the American Public Health Association on behalf of our union. We fought to ensure hotels in California reduce injury risks for housekeepers and provide the proper tools for the job, and we won’t stop fighting until everyone has a safe workplace.
One Day Longer!
